The Restitution Center Program serves felony offenders
who have serious financial delinquencies and have made little or no progress
in the reduction of the delinquencies. Offenders must be physically and
mentally able to maintain employment. They are court ordered for a term
not to exceed 24 months.
Offenders excluded from the program are those who have:
- Caused bodily injury, serious bodily injury, or death to others as
a result of the commission of their offenses
- Used a deadly weapon
- Been convicted of a felony offense under Title
5 of the Penal Code
Participants are required to maintain full time employment.
Time not working is spent performing community service restitution work
or attending classes or counseling.
Classes Offered:
- Life skills
- Behavioral Attitudes
- Substance Abuse Education
- Adult Education
Career Counseling and placement are also available.
Program success is based upon participants positive
behavior and performance in classes and counseling, history of stable
employment and elimination or significant reduction in financial delinquencies.
Ninety days prior to release, participants must have established and maintained
a savings account and remained violation free.
