Many times, citizens request that the county close a road for
a short time for various activities.
Below is the Road Closure Policy.
A 72-hour request of road closure must be submitted to Public Works prior to any partial or entire road closure. Information that must be provided to Public Works regarding the road closure include:
- Date and Time of Notice
- County Road Closed
- Location From / To
- Closed From Date - To Date
- Detour Recommendations
Notification will be sent within 24 hours to the following entities:
- County Departments
- Utility Companies
- US Postal Service
- School Districts
- Local Law Enforcement Agencies
- Municipal Law Enforcement Agencies
- Fire Personnel
- EMS Personnel
- Adjacent cities
Public Works will facilitate if assistance is required from or by:
- Road and Bridge
- Barricades
- Cones
- Traffic Control Devices
- Sheriff's Office
- Fire Marshal's Office
