Task Force requests public help to identify body of boy found in Wylie; rewards offered

(McKINNEY, Texas) -- The Collin County Child Abuse Task Force continues to ask the public for help in identifying the body of a young boy found in Wylie last week, and rewards are now being offered for in the investigation.

Schepp’s Dairy is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the identity of the child, whose body was found in the 1900 block of Skyview Drive in Wylie on Thursday, April 15. Also, Crimestoppers is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of anyone responsible for this crime.

The Collin County Medical Examiner established that the child was about 6 years of age, with brown hair, brown eyes, about 39-inches tall and weighed 28 pounds. It appears the boy had significant medical needs, and showed signs of being fed through a feeding tube.

The Child Abuse Task Force is asking that any persons with information about the identity of this child, especially In-Home health care providers, school personnel, day care personnel or community based social services to contact: 1-800-THE-LOST (1-800-843-5678).
