Commissioner Shaheen Appointed to NCTCOG Criminal Justice Policy Committee

(McKINNEY, Texas) – Precinct 1 County Commissioner Matt Shaheen has been appointed to the North Central Texas Council of Government’s (NCTCOG) Criminal Justice Policy Development Committee.

The 49-member committee meets quarterly, and advises NCTCOG’s executive board on criminal justice planning policy and priorities, reviews requests for criminal justice funding, and approves the annual Criminal Justice application for the NCTCOG 16-county region.

The committee’s make-up includes a cross-section of representatives from the courts and corrections, law enforcement, mental health, non-profit service agencies, educators and citizens.
