The Collin County Jail has passed its annual state inspection for the 22nd year in a row

(McKINNEY, Texas) – The Collin County Detention Facility has passed its annual jail occupancy inspection with flying colors.  The detention facilities, both the main jail and minimum security, were inspected this month by the Texas Commission on Jail Standards (T.C.J.S.).

The facilities passed all of the over 600 points inspected.  These points cover areas from fire drills and life safety equipment to the laundry and kitchen facilities.

This is the 22nd consecutive “annual inspection” of Collin County Detention Facilities and the fifteenth in the current facility that have been successfully completed.

Sheriff Terry Box stated, "I attribute the success of the facility to the hard work, dedication and professionalism of the detention staff.  I am very pleased with the results of the inspection.”
