Rockwall County DA Tenders Resignation

(McKinney, TX) – Rockwall County Criminal District Attorney Galen Ray Sumrow tendered his official resignation yesterday, according to John Roach, Collin County DA and special prosecutor in the criminal cases against Mr. Sumrow.

In a letter to Texas Governor Rick Perry and Rockwall County Judge Chris Florence, Mr. Sumrow resigned effectively immediately.

Collin County prosecutors will have no further comment on the resignation, status or pending appeals of Mr. Sumrow’s cases.
