PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT

Collin County Health Care Services Offers Flu Shots for Adults

(McKinney, TX) – Collin County Health Care Services is now offering influenza (flu) vaccinations to adults Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m., and from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

The health department is located at 825 N. McDonald Street in McKinney. Medicare Part B and Texas Medicaid will be accepted. Please bring Medicare or Medicaid cards to the clinic. For those who do not have Medicare Part B or Medicaid, the cost for the adult vaccine is $20. Cash and checks are accepted.

Please wear short sleeves if possible.

Those who cannot get the shot include:

• Patients with a fever.
• Those who have had a reaction to the flu shot previously
• People with an allergy to Thimerosol.
• People with an allergy to chicken eggs.
• Those who have a history of "Gullian-Barre" syndrome.
