Collin County Health Care Services expands STD clinic hours

(McKinney, TX) – Collin County Health Care Services now offers STD testing, treatment, and counseling on a daily basis. Clinic hours have been expanded to Monday through Friday from 8 am to 11 am and 1 pm to 4 pm. The mission of Collin County STD/HIV Clinic is to provide quality education, screening, counseling and treatment services in order to prevent, control, and eliminate the spread of STDs in the county.

While substantial progress has been made in preventing, diagnosing, and treating certain STDs in recent years, the CDC estimates that 19 million new infections occur each year, almost half of them among young people ages 15 to 24. STD stands for Sexually Transmitted Diseases, which can be caused by bacteria, viruses, or other organisms.

Collin County Health Care Services STD/HIV clinic offers quality diagnostic services for the screening and diagnosis of sexually transmitted diseases. Testing is available for the following conditions:

Clients are tested for all the above conditions during the same visit. The base price for STD services at our clinic is $20. This fee covers screening and treatment with antibiotics if needed. This fee does not cover treatment for HIV. Hepatitis A & B vaccinations are also available for an additional fee.
