Collin County Health Care Services offering flu vaccine clinics at Collin County Community College District campuses
(McKinney, TX) -- Collin County Health Care Services will host flu vaccination clinics on Collin County Community College District campuses on January 24th and 25th. All of the clinics are open to the general public. The schedule for the clinics is listed below:
Tuesday, January 24| 8:00 am – 12:00 pm | Spring Creek Campus, Room BB132 2800 E. Spring Creek Parkway Plano, TX 75074 |
| 1:30 pm – 4:30 pm | Courtyard Campus, Room A106 4800 Preston Park Boulevard Plano, TX 75093 |
| 8:00 am – 12:00 pm | Central Park Campus, Room E206 2200 W. University Drive McKinney, TX 75070 |
| 1:30 pm – 4:30 pm | Preston Ridge Campus, Room F150 9700 Wade Boulevard Frisco, TX 75035 |
Free doses of FluMist® will be available. FluMist® is a nasal spray vaccine that can be given to healthy persons between the ages of 5 and 49. Flu shots will also be available at a reduced cost of $5 per dose. A legal guardian must be present for a child to be vaccinated. Payment can be made with cash or check.
“Flu activity is widespread throughout the state of Texas, but we have not hit the peak yet,” says Collin County nurse epidemiologist Janet Glowicz. “It is not too late to get your flu shot.”
Collin County Health Care Services will also continue administering flu vaccinations at the health department Monday through Friday from 8 am to 11 am and 1 pm to 4 pm. The health department is located at 825 N. McDonald Street in McKinney.
