Newly, Re-Elected County Officials To Be Sworn Into Office in January

(McKinney, TX) -- Eight newly elected and re-elected county officials will be formally sworn in to office on Friday, Jan. 2, 2009, at 9:00 a.m. in the Central Jury Room of the Collin County Courthouse, 2100 Bloomdale Road.

Officials being sworn in during this ceremony are:

• Honorable Robert DRY, Jr., 199th District Court
• Honorable Mark RUSCH, 401st District Court
• Honorable Chris OLDNER, 416th District Court
• Honorable Matt SHAHEEN, County Commissioner, Pct. 1
• Honorable Joe JAYNES, County Commissioner, Pct. 3
• Honorable Johnny LEWIS, Justice of the Peace, Pct. 3-1
• Honorable Paul ELKINS, Constable, Pct. 1
• Honorable Charles PRESLEY, Constable, Pct. 3

On Monday, Jan. 5, 2009, the Honorable Suzanne WOOTEN will be sworn in as Judge of the 380th District Court at 1 p.m. in the ceremonial courtroom on the 1st floor of the Collin County Courthouse.

Receptions will follow both ceremonies.
