In
July 2007, the North Texas
Municipal Water District (NTMWD), which serves more than 1.5 million
people in 60 cities in the North Texas area, lifted Stage 3 restrictions
of their Water Conservation and Drought Contingency Plan to member cities.
Late spring rains that continued well into the summer helped bring much-needed
relief from almost two years of drought conditions across the region.
Keep in mind, however, that each member city has the authority to implement
water restrictions in ways that their officials determine would best suit
residents.
Below, we've posted links to water restrictions and
water conservation information for some of the member cities serviced by NTMWD.
If your city is not listed here, please contact your water utility for specific
details regarding what restrictions or conservation suggestions apply to your
area.
