ScamJam 2008 set for Oct. 4 in Plano
Its free and it could help protect you against
a slew of scams and cons being carried out around this end of North Texas.
ScamJam
2008 is half-day anti-crime fair that brings residents and local,
state and federal law enforcement agencies together for friendly how-tos
on avoiding Internet, healthcare and investment frauds, as well as identity
theft and counterfeit swindles.

Texas Crime Prevention Association, ScamJam 2008 offers free kid fingerprinting,
door prizes and great advice from legal and consumer protection groups,
including the American
Association of Retired Persons to Collin
County Sheriffs Office to U.S.
Immigration & Customs Enforcement.
U.S. Congressmen Sam
Johnson and Ralph
Hall are also scheduled to speak at the event.
