For the first time ever in the state of Texas, a historical asset survey has been completed for an entire county!  The Collin County Historical Commission, in partnership with Collin County’s GIS unit and IT Department, along with hundreds of volunteers, has completed the initial inventory of all county historical sites, buildings, residences, cemeteries and other historically significant items and stored their locations, photos and descriptions in a central database that’s accessible to the public via the county web site.  Use this valuable interactive tool and start experiencing our county’s history in person!
