Planning Workshop for Organizations
On July 16 & 17 2008, leaders from both the public
and private sectors will have the opportunity to gather in Collin County,
Texas for two one day seminars to learn how to prepare for potential business
threatening hazards utilizing Continuity Planning for their agencies and
organizations.
Day one of the workshop, July 16, will be held for Local
Government and Education operations while day two, July 17, will be
specific to Private Industry and Health Care Operations.
The morning session of the workshop will provide guidance and training
for your organization’s planning efforts. There will be discussion
on plan requirements based on industry standards and best practices. The
workshop will also guide participants through the necessary steps to develop
and implement an all-hazards Continuity Plan. The afternoon session of
the workshop will include interactive breakout sessions that focus on
the above field-specific areas. These facilitated sessions will address
the key components of each industry’s Continuity Plan.
This event is sponsored by the Collin County Department
of Homeland Security and offered to all participants FREE of
charge.
