General Information

After you have secured a Beer & Wine license, you will need to bring to the County Clerk's Office two (2) Original Applications which have been signed off by the TABC (Texas Alcohol Beverage Commission). Once you file with the County Clerk, a hearing will be set for more than five (5) days and less than 10 from the date of filing.

If you are filing a new business which has never had a beer & wine license, you are required to run two (2) consecutive ads in the local paper of the town in which you will be conducting business. This is to notify the public of the hearing. The County Clerk's Office will need on file an Assumed Name Certificate for an Incorporated Businesses or Assumed Name Certificate for an Unincorporated Businesses.

You must be present on the date and time of the hearing and if everything is approved, the application will pass. You must then go to the Tax Assessor/Collector Office and TABC (http://www.tabc.state.tx.us/).
