How soon is my child support payment sent to me, once Collin County has received it?
Collin County processes and mails child support payments
to the designated payee on the same day payment are received into the County.
To review date of last payment on the Collin County website, click…(LINK), and enter your PIN.
If you do not have your PIN for the website lookup, you can also search for your information by
entering your [name? /ss#/case#].
You can also dial 972-542-4305. You will be asked to enter your five-digit PIN number.

What do I do if my child support is late?
Collin County does not do any type of enforcement for delinquent child support. Child
support is not considered actually late until it is 30 days delinquent based on the date
ordered by the court.
If your support is 30 days delinquent, or you have never received any child support,
contact your attorney, or the Attorney General (1-800-687-8233). Collin County cannot offer
any legal advice on this issue.

I didn't receive my check, and the automated line says it was mailed
two weeks ago?
If you moved, you will need to complete a Change of Address form and send to Collin
County. Note that Change Of Address will only be accepted in writing, and must be submitted
by the recipient of support. Collin County will not forward returned mail. For a downloadable
copy of the Change of Address, (LINK: Change of Address).
If your address has not changed, and you have not receive your check within 10 days of
posted date, you may need to check with the payer's employer to verify if the check has cleared,
and make arrangements for stopping payment and/or re-issuing of a replacement check. Please be
aware that with recent national events, the mail is slow, and may take up to 10 days for delivery.

I am paying child support through Collin County. Where do I send it?
All support payments that are ordered to be sent through Collin County Child Support
Office are to be made payable to the person who has custody of the child(ren). Collin
County will return any child support checks back to you if not made out correctly, and this will
delay posting and receipt of your payment. Be sure to note the Payor's name and case number on all
payments.

What is the Handling Fee and how much is it?
This is a service fee paid to Collin County for handling of child support payments.
This is a separate payment of $30.00 per year ($2.50 monthly) to be made payable to Collin

Does Collin County offer direct deposit for child support payments?
Collin County does not offer direct deposit for child support payments. The State of Texas
does offer this, through the Special Disbursement Unit (SDU) for child support that is processed
by the State. The contact number for the SDU is: 1-800-252-8014.

My child support is paid through the Guardian Ad Litem. How do I contact them?
Guardian Ad Litem is a private entity. The Collin County Child Support office is not
connected with Guardian Ad Litem, or any other office or county. If you are not sure
where your support is being processed, please review your court order for details.
